Announcement: Project successfully completed
The Quality Education Fund Project 2000/2133
for 'A Web-based Database and Training on Hong Kong Flora
and Vegetation', with the support from all alliance schools,
teachers and students, have been successfully completed
on March 31, 2003.
As promised, we have (1) established a pilot web-based
database on Euphorbiaceae
and some common plants (in fact, an exhaustive profile
of local bryophytes
and gymnosperms),
(2) hosted 11 workshops and
fieldtrips (plus three ceremonies and one
exhibition), and (3) hosted two student
projects which were participated by 21 teachers and
91+56 students.
A Grand
Finale of the Project was held on May 31, 2003, to
present Certificates of Merits to Project Team Members,
Alliance Schools, Teacher Supervisors, and Project Students.
Mr Jackson Ho of Quality Education Fund was the Guest
of Honor.
